1.2. Conventions

The following notational conventions are used throughout this guide:

{ a | b | c } -- one of

must be one of a,b,c

KEYWORD -- A JALv2 keyword

Upper case denotes a JALv2 keyword

'...' -- literal

Anything between the quotes must be typed exactly.

[...] -- optional

Anything between the brackets is optional.
